Exploring Dolomites: A Visual Symphony

The Dolomites, so majestic and unique. Watch this video to witness a breathtaking aerial drone footage showcasing the magnificent Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Curious about what they are? Allow us to enlighten you promptly!

The Tre Cime di Lavaredo are the most famous peaks in the Dolomites, in fact they are also the most photographed and shared peaks. They are composed of a higher peak, the central one, which is called “Cima Grande” (“Big Peak“), 2,999 meters high or 9,839ft, a medium height peak called “Cima Ovest” (“West Peak“) 2,973 meters high or 9,754ft, and a third peak which is the lowest and in fact is called “Cima Piccola” (“Small Peak“), 2,857 meters or 9,373ft.

The geological formation of these peaks dates back to 228 million years ago, when the supercontinent of Pangea broke up and was submerged by ocean water. From here, the process of stratification of the organic content of the ocean begins, giving life to the Main Dolomite, which is a particular type of sedimentary rock formed mainly from the mineral Dolomite.

After emerging from the depths of the ocean, the three peaks were subjected to the powerful forces of wind erosion, resulting in the unique shape that we can admire today.

This is the story of the Tre cime di Lavaredo, and trust us, seeing them live will take your breath away. The video is just a preview. Enjoy your viewing and let yourself be carried away!
