The term “Bombardino” derives from the Italian word “Bomba“, which in English means bomb, or from “Bombarda” which was a term used to indicate the explosive charge of firearms. The reason is understandable: Between the sugar and the alcoholic component, this drink gives you that sometimes necessary boost of energy.
