Getting There

By Train (The Green Option):

Val di Sole features an incredible, eco-friendly rail link called the Dolomiti Express. This train stops at primary riverside hubs like Dimaro and Croviana, which sit directly next to the valley's top rafting centers.

By Car:

From the A22 Autostrada del Brennero, take the San Michele all'Adige exit. Follow the SS43 through the Val di Non, and then merge onto the SS42, which runs parallel to the Noce River all the way through Val di Sole.

By Plane: The closest major international gateway is the Verona Villafranca Airport (approx. 2 hours away by car).

What to Bring & Pro-Tips

  • The rafting centers provide all technical safety gear, including a thick neoprene wetsuit, a life jacket, and a helmet. You must bring breathable technical clothing (like a swimsuit or thermal rash guard) to wear under the wetsuit, a towel, a change of dry clothes, and a pair of sturdy sports shoes or sneakers that you don't mind getting completely soaked (flip-flops or bare feet are strictly prohibited).
  • Do not bring loose cameras or expensive sunglasses on the boat unless they are securely strapped to your body. The Noce is powerful, and unsecured items will quickly become property of the river. Most rafting centers have professional photographers stationed on the riverbanks to capture high-quality action shots of your raft conquering the rapids.

The “Hidden Gem

When booking your descent, ask your rafting center if their route passes through the Mostizzolo Gorges at the far eastern end of the valley. Here, the Noce River slows down and plunges into a dizzying, narrow canyon with vertical rock walls rising over 100 meters high, just before the river empties into Lake Santa Giustina. Drifting deep within this shadow-draped, silent stone cathedral is an awe-inspiring, almost otherworldly experience that contrasts beautifully with the wild, sunny rapids further upstream.
