No — but we recommend you've already worked through (or are working through) the early lessons of From Zero to Italian. Volume 1 starts gentle, but if you've never seen Italian spelling before, the Beginner path is a smoother place to begin.
Most exercises run 10 to 25 minutes end-to-end — 10 guided steps, completed in one sitting. The Volume 7 pieces are longer (30 to 45 minutes) for advanced learners. The point isn't speed — it's finishing one full exercise without breaking the flow.
Ideally no — the method works best when each step plays straight through without interruption. The only exception is Step 8 (bilingual text), where pausing to review is perfect. Trust the repetition: the layered listens are what build real comprehension.
Podcasts give you audio. Shows give you entertainment. Neither gives you a method.
